    Waterside MC250 water softener

Hi All, we have a softener as above which is at least 10 years old. Just over 3 years ago Culligan fitted a new controller because the system had started continually pumping water through the overflow. Unfortunately the fitter didn't leave us any instructions on the controller settings...

Regulations re buried loop connections 1980

Enough Guys, this is starting to get abusive, and it was not my intention to start a ruck. I asked a fairly, I thought, simple question to which I have had some useful answers and comments. From these I have surmised the following: - There are 'Codes of Practice' and 'guidelines'...

Re: "Looped connections". Are such connections part of a "ring main" type configuration, or a "spur"? Tony N

Regulations re buried loop connections 1980

Regulations re buried loop connections 1980

Thanks for that John. Ours is the SEB, their guys were good as gold last night, worked for the best part of 3 hours in the ****ing rain, and wouldn't accept a tip at the end of it. Can't fault them. Not like the tossers who did the original installation. Tony N

Regulations re buried loop connections 1980

Hi Guys, thanks for your responses. Your level of knowledge is far in excess of mine, so I had difficulty with some of the abbreviations. I sussed that CoP is "Code of Practice", I've downloaded HSG47, but I'm still stumped on "DNO". If somebody could explain please. Had another...

Regulations re buried loop connections 1980

Hi, The electricity supply to our bungalow, which was built in 1981, is via a 'loop' connection from the fusehead in the property next door, to our fusehead. Part of this loop, after leaving next door's property, runs diagonally across our front lawn, at depth of only 250mm (10"), goes...
