Yes I could do but I have a glued floor down in the room between the boiler and the meter. So it will cost be £1k to renew. I will prob leave it as it is withe the current meter as all working ok. if I change the floor in the future I will do the gas feed.
This is the meter. Steel coming into the house and gas valve. Then it goes out of the meter in lead. It feeds the boiler and an old gas fire which is no more. This gas fire feed is capped off in copper.
My gas meter is connected to lead pipe. Everything is ok and it works fine. However I cannot get a smart meter fitted as the engineer says he cannot connect the meter to lead.
My question is will the gas pipe be all in lead from the street or do they come in with copper and then change into...
I exported 2kw to Axel energy on 7th July. think it was in the evening. The rest of the time I am exporting to the grid as normal in summer as the system generates more power than we can use. Got 10 panels and generally export 10-15kw per day in the summer.
So there is a chance the inverter...
Does anyone have any good links to givenergy support groups ?
My 4 yo inverter has shut down. The company who installed it are going to look into it for me. Everyone probably knows GE went bust recently so I have no cover.
Just trying to work out what to do.
I think it died because I signed...
I understand about the system drain offs. I have 3 rad drain off points. So all sorted there. Not sure if they are on the flow or return though.
Just to clarify, when I force water through the system from the boiler water feed I shut off all rads and open one and clean them out one at a...
Thanks Madrab. I have added x400 today and will run it for a few weeks.
Draining down is obv easy to do, but I have not flushed my system before. How do I do this ? And how do you do it on the flow and then return?
Do I leave the hose drain off on the last rad and then run the cold feed in...
Spoke to my engineer and he said to open the zone valves so the UFH system just becomes part of the heating system. So I will just treat the UFH as if it's a rad and zone off all the rads when I come to clean out the UFH part. Sounds easier.
I would rather connect through the rad in the living room where I have the washing machine connection to fill up plus dumping water is easy. Boiler is top of house.
Does no one know how I connect onto my UFH manifold?
I am going to hire the fernox power flush machine from my local plumbers merchant. I have used it before, but a few years ago.
I took off a rad and attached the hoses to the two valves from this rad to connect into the system.
I can do the same again, but wondered if I can attach somewhere...
