agile ph jones works for contour housing, sixtown bury and quite few social housing
did subbie for them as part changer none diagnosis
9/10 parts where wrong
once got given expansion vessel for no hot water
it was lose wire

Although I see PH Jones vans around I have never been involved in any repairs or even advice on anything they have done. I can only assume that they only do social housing jobs.

It seems odd that as a large employer we dont see anyone who works for them posting here.

Tony

they currently have 50 odd engineers countrywide but are recruiting like mad due to their upturn in work! They are looking for 150 engineers. Many of the vans you see at the mo may well not be engineers but other trades etc. My mate left them last week after 3 weeks working for them! It does not bode well.

Watched this. It was nice to see him squirm a bit, but I think he did well and held his composure. Takes the mick when people pay subs but can't get the service. If average customer pays £15/month then they would be better putting it into a saving account and using a RGI for fixes as and when, if they make sure that a service is carried out atleast every 2 years, they should be pretty much set. Waste of money if AA don't even show up!

The cynical side of me thinks this might be a good time to sign up with them since they will be trying hard to repair their reputation after the watchdog piece.

Saying that though they would have forgotten by winter so back normal service!

I have been told that the reason AA got involved in the plumbing & Heating industry is because when BG & AA split, one of the top bosses of BG Services went with AA and saw a opportunity to make abit of money.

I have a friend who works for PHJones in the North West, he was telling me just a few hours ago how he hasn't been to any AA Jobs even thought they have the contract. He would also agree that 9 / 10 times, the parts ordered to a job are WRONG.

Dan

AA originally contracted PH Jones for the HER cover but they proved to be unreliable .Now the AA are in the situation where all the jobs are still routed through PH Jones even though they are no longer carrying out the work which is what is at the root of some of the problems (Let's face it, PHJones are hardly going to be hustling the AA jobs as a priority). Now the AA want to have their own plumbers, builders etc and their own liveried vans but it is taking time.

I`ll sign up - as long as I can work BG hours - back home for tea @ 4.30

Didn't BG just pay 30 million for phjones if so it'll be BG doing AA callouts

Will it fook! BG bought PH jones just to spite the AA and make their life harder. The cometition cant be competition without a workforce. BG and AA have been bickering ever since centrica asset striped the AA then sold it.
