Hi.

Currently the cord switch in the bathroom makes a loud click when used, which awakens the babies when they sleep.

Anyone know where I can acquire a silent or quiet switch?

This has been discussed here before - do a search.

Some switches are quieter than others, but often the problem is, or is compounded by, the ceiling acting as a sounding board, and moving the switch so it's screwed firmly through into a joist can help.

Also, depending on size and layout of the bathroom you might be able to have a wall switch, or for any size and layout you could have one outside the room or a proximity switch behind a tile in the room. Or one of those air switches you get for waste disposal units.

I know this is an old thread but I found it very useful and felt the need to post my thanks. I am sure there are people like myself who don't want to go down the PIR route. So just to reiterate, if you want a much quieter, (not silent) single click, (not clunk clunk but click on, click off) This is what you are looking for.
