is anyone else having problems with 'Sicily' ceramic tiles bought from B & Q
we layed some in the kitchen and they absorb dirt and i can't get them clean. to get them near clean I have to soak the floor then scrub the old fashoned way and then remove the water with a vax wet and dry and rinse.

Apparently having lodged a complaint on the 3 of feb with them, up until now I have been told its a cleaning issue. but last week was told that I am not the only one with a problem. not that they seam to be doing anything about it, the person i spoke to told me she was suprised they were still on sale.

considering going to some one like watch dog now. if anyone has this problem let me know please

Are they glazed or unglazed? It might be that they need sealing.

they are glazed and the store told me that they did not need sealing. I did a test on a spare tile, I sealed half and then got it dirty, put it in the sink in water and scrubbed it but only the sealed half came clean.

Hi I am having exactly the same problem B & Q offered me some cleaning fluid and a scrubbing brush as a gesture of good will
I am in the process of taking it further with the view to taking legal action the tiles are not fit for the purpose they were bought for there was no instructions on the box or warning that they would hold every stain including water my tiles are so dull the only time I can see the original colour I bought is if I wet them regards Margaret

Hi I have just made a complaint to b&q and was given some floor cleaner to put on which if you read the label it is acid, are these tiles fit for purpose? Anyone had any joy with there complaints? I have never had to put acid on my tiles before, laminate floor lasts longer than these tiles!

Hi I had the same tiles thats what B & Q initially offered me tile cleaner The tiles are faulty do not accept what they have said I got a full refund of the tiles £400 and £800 to have them lifted and refit with different tiles I obviously did not have B & Q tiles refitted Margaret

Cracking is more to do with the tile base &/or the way the tiles were laid. If it’s a suspended floor, there must be no discernable flex & floor tiles require a solid adhesive bed with 100% coverage or they will crack under point load. If they've been dot & dabbed or the wrong size trowel was used, that’s the cause of your problem.

But why are you letting "heavy people wearing high heels" walk on them anyway, the point load on the heel will be phenomenal!
