Hi quick question ... i'm trying to replace the fan motor on our drinks display chiller and the cables are connected with like plastic sleeves [see link]

seem to be on pretty tight do i just cut through these?,and what are they actually called so i can purchase new ones on ebay ,and what tool do i need?

Crimps, search Crimper / crimps in the search section and you will find all you need to know.

They are a perm connection, not a unplug or disconnect.

If you have space I would use one of these so in future you have a break point

"Drinks display chiller" ≡ extremely low probability of this being in your house...

Fiddling being done by someone who doesn't even recognise crimps...

EAWR...

Employer liability insurance clauses...

PLI clauses...

Chiller ≡ hygiene regulations?...


Please get someone who knows what they are doing to do this job.

I'd ask the manufacturer first of all if theres any chance that they can sort you out something and at the same time you get a bit of warranty since they did the work and they'll have the correct parts
