Can anybody advise how to adjust the flush volume on Geberit UP200 concealed cistern? We have one fitted recently, and when using the short flush button it stops flushing pretty much as soon as the button is released. Another that was fitted approx 6 years ago flushes much longer on short flush, but still less than long flush. I would like to adjust the newer one to flush longer on short flush. (I know how to adjust the fill valve to change the fill level, but I am talking about the amount of water actually flushed through on short flush.) Any advice would be appreciated.
Thanks, Pete.

Hi Pete

Are you using a pneumatic flush plate or rod plate. The rod/mechanical plates require you to hold the button in for a full flush. From memory you can only adjust these from 3 to 4 l and some require an extra fitting. Have a browse on their web site they have detailed specs on this.

Pete

Thanks Fluffster. The older one and the recent one both use the same type of flush plate -- two buttons with rods, not pneumatic. On the older one, on both short and long flush, the flush continues after releasing button, but flushes more on the long flush, as expected. But on the newer one it does the same on long flush, but short flush stops when the button released. I did a bit more poking and pulled out the flush valve column to look closer. there is a slider marked max and min around the top but that does not seem to change the action much is at all. Also a small disk with arrow that can point to 6l or 9l. Not sure how these two work together. I have had a look at Geberit website but could not find any reference to these.

Cheers Pete

Dunno if this will help you but we have three Geberit concealed cisterns in our house. All three are pneumatic and two flush a full (big or small) flush as soon as you've pushed and released the button whereas the third only flushes for as long as you hold the button down. I don't think it's a coincidence that this is the one that I, er, disassembled before installing it to see how it worked. I believe there may be two different ways of reassembing them but I'm not bothered enough to find out.

Out of interest, Rigidraider, did you find out how they work ?

No, sorry, can't be bothered! It means taking off the top and fishing around inside then probably breaking something!

Peter, did you find a solution to this?

I have the same problem, and have searched and searched, but can't find anything.
