how would we know? it depends on the depth of your existing back box

For a socket you will need around 40mm to the back of the box
for a switch you will need around 30mm to the back of the box

This is my point, it has been suggested that for the type of flat light switch to which I refer I may need a deeper back box than 'normal'. I apologise to Breezer (for forcing them into mentioning their car once again) but I assumed that there is a standard depth for normal switches and perhaps someone would able to advise me if these flat metal ones are not compatable with this. Phew....

look at the page you linked to, it tells you there which box you require, you then measure your existing one and see is it suitable
