Hi, had a featherboard fence put up a month ago.

When the sun shines, you can see loads of gaps in the fence, as you look at it from the back door (its on the left hand side), yes you cant see much through it but i was under the impression it was supposed to have no gaps being a closed gap fence??

When ive looked they are only overlapped a tiny bit really.

Am i expecting perfection or is it worth getting them back to sort it?

Or will the wood re-expand when it gets warm and if i then treat it then it should be good?

Featherboard fencing needs at least a one inch overlap on the boards, there is a good chance it will look worse when the boards really dry out in the summer.

Feck sake, spoke to them and they suddenly arent interested now theyve been paid for the job!
Is there no way of minimising the gaps or anything without taking the boards back off or sticking wood on top.

Board the back? Feather edge will split all to hell if you try and take it back of, unless its been screwed, which would be madness

The whole point of the fence was to provide privacy, if i have to board the fence i might aswell of kept the old one
