Hi.
I've desperatelly tryed to find any information...
I've got garrage , on the back garden, without main connection. it's approx 30 -35 meters from house.
and I got 10Kw 240v connection (for electric shower, never connected and never used).
full House rewiring done 1.5 years ago.
is it possible to put wiring from my loft (there is switch for shower) to my garage ..
Wires connected from main board to switch and it was never switched ON.
is it possible to put cable from one roof to another , by the steel rope , wich will be tightened betwin garage and house in more the 5 meters from the ground ?
I thinking of use cable like this : ebay item number "351401793103" core 6mm
any help would be much appreciated.

The best help you can get is to employ a competent electrician to plan the installation for you.

Hanging SWA cable from a catenary support wire is possible but the force on the bracket fixing the catenary wire to the wall could pull a brick out of the wall.

30+ metres is way too long for a single catenary length.
6mm 3 core SWA cable weighs 558kg/km. So a 35 metre length is nearly 20kg, thats nearly a bag of cement. So you are going to need supplementary support poles.

PS There is no such thing as "10kW cable"

A different type of cable would probably be better / much lighter. Bare conductors on insulators would weigh quite a bit less.

yep.. Thanks everybody for replays.
"10kW cable " - maybe it's wrong description...
like I've said - when rewiring was done - electric man putted new wire from main board with switch on loft for electric 10kW shower.
because we don't have electric shower - I want to use this line for garage..
just 240v about 40 amps..
if You can advise , what type of cable I need to use - it would be very nice. also I considering to dig cable in plastic tube (15mm armored water pipe ??? ? , but I thought maybe it will be more easy for me to put 4mm steel rope from garage till house ..
I've got no any sertificates - but I have some skills and know some theory.

It would be a good idea to let us know what you want to install in the Garage , I know you mention the Shower Circuit , but it doesn't say you want to install a Shower in there, If its just Light & Sockets you don't need 10kw cable as you put it
You may get away with a smaller Cable run down the Wall from the Loft and then ideally buried rather than on a Wire (looks crap)
So let us know what you are planning on having in there

And get a Spark in .... it needs certifying !!!

Lucky

it's just for lights ,sockets, 18amp for mig welder..
probably 13-18 amp for hidraulic motor..
also for 4-6kW water heater..
it's simple.
P.S. if I will need just standart 13amp line - I would not asking questions like this.

Better get applying to your DNO for permission to use your welder on their supply then. Same for the Hydraulic motor.

This is just an example, but ENWL make you declare anything motor above 1.7kVA and all welding equipment

For loads like that you need the services of an electrician to design and install. You may also need to obtain permission from your electricity supplier before connecting welders, motors and additional large loads. Some information for the Western Power area is here.

With the exception of digging a trench for the cable, all the above work needs to be carried out by an electrician. In what part of the UK do you live?

it's simple.
A serious amount of careful design is needed for such an installation, it is anything but simple.

Edit: Damn, too slow!

and you didn't say it was for a commercial type Garage ....... NEW SUPPLY RQD , Starts saving up !

e. also I considering to dig cable in plastic tube (15mm armored water pipe ??? ? ,
Electric cables are NEVER put inside water pipes or anything similar - once buried in the ground, how is some future person supposed to know that water pipe actually contains an electric cable?

Armoured cable is either buried directly in the ground, or inside cable ducting.

wow, wow !!!
Thank You, BUT :
firstly - I don't think anybody who got tig,mig welder or arch welder in there household are declared them to anybody....
second - it's NOT COMERCIAL GARAGE . it's our own house and this equipment will be used just for hobby... car restorations... not COMERCIAL USE ...
third - I'ts MY house, and NOBODY in the future will never dig my land or will try to identify water or over pipes.. (If I ever will move from this house - I will disconnect all undergraund connection like water or electricyti , to prevent any accidents.)
