Central heating oil tank in garage

Hi

I'm new on this forum but I might be a regular whine in coming months as I try to put together a plan for a ~50m2 steel outbuilding. The planning for that is a separate issue.

One of the options I am looking at is to place my 1200Litre oil tank inside the building as this will possibly simplify a few other issues I face so rather than start a new thread I though it possible to tie into this recent thread.

I have looked at the oftec site and this is what they have to say "oil storage tank can be sited inside a building such as a garage or outhouse. Installations of this type require the tank to be self-contained within a 60 minute fire rated chamber. Your OFTEC registered technician can advise further on this type of installation."

Obviously I will be going to the technician for advise when the time comes but that is a few months down the planning road but in the meantime can anyone advise what would constitute a 60 minute fire rated chamber? I'm not worried about the aesthetics of it all just as long as it complies with all the regulations.

Any insights appreciated.
