Soon to be doing a retaining wall for the garden and will have a 10ft back with the sides coming down 5ft or so from the corners.

Wondering if I have to use half bond or can I just build the corners like normal brick? Just like Lego. :) Then the only cuts would be at the ends.

I've tried googling a reason as to why I should use half bond but surely it doesn't matter?

Thanks!

Half bond is stronger than quarter bond

Lego will be half bond o_O
Normal (ie stretcher bond) brick corners are half bond o_Oo_O

Ah ok thanks for the reply.

I watched a YouTube vid and he called it half bond when he done 3/4 to 1/4 block for every other course.

I'll stick with Lego bond seeing as my concrete blocks will be laid flat and it's not exactly holding back a mointain.

Thanks!
