Hi all,

I'm a bit unsure of what connector I will need to use to re-connect a toilet after I have shortened the clay pipe - so as to get the toilet flush back with the wall?

I will measure the clay pipe size.

My plan so far:
  • cut clay pipe with angle grinder or multi-tool - at red line
  • fit toilet to wall/floor
  • connect toilet to remaining section of clay pipe - but what connector to use - one of those rubber jubilee ones?
Thanks,
Ian

couple of things wrong with your proposal.
i dont think your measurementes will work out.
the soil pipe is cast iron.

youl have to cut the soil pipe at the wall with a 9" angle grinder with a metal blade.
you might be in luck an get a straight connection or have to use a offset conn.
the wall tiles round the pipe could do with rearangin/cuttin in neatly.

aftercuttin the ci at the wall you might not need a packing piece but if you do
mark a footprint on your ply packin piece under the paan . jigsaw the packin piece shape out. prepaint the edge in 2 x coats of white an screw it down when in position.
