Good Afternoon,

Im looking for some advice on wether i can remove my ugly soil stack from my kitchen by sticking a durgo valve in under the work top?

The sink in the kitchen is the highest drain point entering the stack in the house.

See proposed sketch attached.

TIA

Ryan

It's not about highest drain point, rather the highest spill over level.

This is to ensure that if the stack blocks then you won't have water pouring out of the AAV before it gets to the spillover level of the sink/appliance. It also allows the stack to balance/ventilate without pulling on the traps. You also need to ensure that it isn't the primary vent on the main drain, as that vent performs 2 specific functions - a positive vent of the drains to the air, as well as an anti vacuum function.

If that can be achieved then no reason why not.
