Good day fine and knowledgeable folk, I'm try to add a Heating only Hive unit to a Ideal Logic 30 and been searching all morning to try and find the answers but everyone else's wiring seems different to mine, lol.

Normal L, N, and E is obvious but I can't see where I'm supposed to put the Black and Grey (in A & B on the BDR91) shown in the image, some threads say add a link, and some don't, I'm a tad stuck.

Told the wife I'd have it done by lunch, yeah I know, rookie error! lol I (we) appreciate all help and efforts, cheers

You shouldn't be removing the front cover of your boiler unless you're Gas Safe Registered - it forms the safety room seal on the boiler, and these particular boilers are known to suffer from cracked sumps which could cause carbon monoxide to enter the room.

Also, your boiler is OpenTherm compatible and it's rather a shame to be fitting a dumb switch like Hive to it...

Black and grey go to 1 and 3 on the hive , doesnt matter which way round, no links required
