Are those bits of osb above the door permanent? If so then thats massively shoddy, will cause problems (draughts/damp) and reduce the value of yr home substantially. Get him back to finish it properly, don't pay him til its done
EDIT Where's the downpipe for that piece of gutter pipe? The link between old and new looks rubbish as well
EDIT 2 WTF is going on with the headlap on the slates?

Thanks for the feedback.

No the OSB is a temporary fix while the work continues. I thought the same regarding the link between the old and new. It leaked all along there during the night so he has gone up there and lifted the flashing going into the gutter between old and new and put a load of tiles along there - everything just seems to be reactive lash ups! debating getting a roofer round to quote on doing it properly and then dock the cost of that from the builders money after I eject him from site tomorrow!

What is the headlap?

What's the pitch on that roof?
What's with the flashband.
Need to get a roofer.

Pitch is too low . Looks about 10 degrees
Skylights have no proper flashing kit fitted.
Slate gauge is all over the place Theres tons of headlap , I think they have put them on top edge down hence no rivet hole.
Bonds are wrong
Screw fixing is wrong
It goes on.
Get a roofer in who might help get away with the low pitch and sort the mess out .

 I think it is not so much a question of what is wrong with it as what is right with it :!: Apart from the technicalities from an appearance point of view it's all such a mess (n)

Datarebal pointed out the main points.

The pitch on the roof is too low for slates it will leak as soon as the felt starts to perish.

The slating is all wrong it needs stripped and done again.

The velux windows are not suitable for such a low pitch either..that's why he has lashed it all up with flashband.

Wouldn't extending the existing flat roof and putting a suitable skylight in have been a better proposition? (I'm no roofer)
