Bush frost free fridge freezer - Are they ok for the money?

The only tip I can give you is avoid bush like the plaque, shoddy build quality using the cheapest parts they can.

The old sayings goes , buy cheap buy twice and they're cheap for reason

Frost-free go wrong a lot more often (see "related threads" below) and have a relatively short life.

A basic freezer has almost nothing to go wrong.

On "which," some Bush FFs are rated as "don't buy".

What size and budget do you have in mind?

I have been happiest with Bosch, which I realise are dearer, but there are few other cheapish best buys. There are a few under £400. Occasionally you find a reputable retailer selling last-year's model or a scratched one at discount.

If you buy cheap, try to get a long guarantee and you will probably get a couple of years out of it. Candy are cheap but not very good. I don't see a Beko at similar price.

If you are really hard up and have a suitable vehicle, you may be able to get a used one for next to nothing from someone having a kitchen refit, because they have to pay to have them taken away. I sold my old ones for £5.

Thanks johnD, always good solid advice. I'm all for less things to go wrong-perhaps the f/free feature isn't really a big deal, just
that my current beko ff quickly ices up, always has and being a midi 60/40 the freezer part was never really big enough.
Then seen this bush one and it got me thinking so was curious if this ff feature tech is reliable.

Know bush are a budget brand and a little bit of a risky purchace, thought maybe argos or an affiliate company might offer an
extended warranty, hopefully a further 2 yrs, when the initial 12 month guarantee runs out, dunno. Am hoping to get atleast 3/4
trouble free years out of it then if it became uneconomical to repair buy a new one. Don't mind paying a little more but my budget
is about 300 (or less).
