Heat shield board for electric health grill

whilst replacing the elements on my health grill I've managed to break (by attempting to take short cuts & not fully dissasemble) one of the silvered fibrous heat shields that sits between the rear of the hot plate and the electrical wiring.

The sheet is approx 1.5 mm in thickness and no more than 25cm x 15cm, and is fairly rigid.

Does anyone have any suggestions on where i might be able to source something i could use to either effect a repair or knock up a replacement ?

Can I suggest that you research the "Various" spares sites for domestic appliances, such as. e spares [other such web sites also exist?]

Or? go on to the web site for the appliance maker and look for spares?

The grill is over 10 years old so that's perhaps it is to be expected that none of the spares sites had what i was looking for by way of a direct replacement. espares was where i got the elements & my first point of call. Hence the request for somewhere i could source some material to make a replacement.

Good shout. i suspect that being in Australia it would be uneconomic to ship over but it gives me the idea to try and find somewhere in the UK that sells mica sheet. I have found something on ebay but that's twice as thick as i need, not quite the right size & comes from China...

Try a motor rewind place as they deal with the sort of stuff likely to use mica sheet.
