In addition to the locked posts elsewhere, I found the following:
Yes there were several bad joints (best viewed with a magnifying glass) including on the reset switch.
Also the fuse, though not blown, was reading very erratically on a dvm. I did not have a replacement, so wrapped it in fooil as a temp. All working now, so hope this may be helpful.
