Not bitter at all, just recognise that there are much better boilers on the market for considerably less money. I never said their field engineers were just covering warranty work, obviously they do annual servicing too

It works with a Nest in as much as a Nest will turn it on and off, but there are other boilers out there which will be more efficient with Nest due to their OpenTherm capability. The 8000 also doesn't fit your request for a compact boiler - it's 14mm taller and 88mm deeper (but 10mm narrower) than the Intergas which you said was too big, and the lowest available output is 30kW
Stay away from Worcester over priced rubbish
The intergas xclusive Touchscreen is a joke from what I can see on YouTube. Fiddly and odd.
Yes true it’s higher output then I wanted and bigger which is why I set my sights on the 2000.

I've never had an issue with the Intergas touchscreen, works fine, and in any case you don't need to fiddle with it if you have a Nest connected as the Nest will do everything you need to do to it. Second choice would be the Navien NCB https://navienuk.com/products/navien-condensing-ncb/

"Never seen one" is hardly a reason to dismiss them. Might be area-specific, they are doing quite well around here, and they're a huge manufacturer - the biggest-selling brand in the USA, who have a far larger market than we do
The problem is with unheard of boilers is if you come to sell or rent people will just find it odd

Actually, according to a study a couple of years ago in the Gas Engineer trade magazine, 95% of the general public just see it as a white box on the wall and provided it looks reasonably new that's all they care about. Just because you've heard of it and there's a lot of it about, doesn't make it good
a bit like syphilis in that respectNot really ? Why would they think that. They will just want it to work and when goes wrong gets fixed. Just get something for good value and long warranty if ur renting

Apple equivalent of a boiler huh? Is that one that costs 3 times as much as it's non Apple equivalent, lasts about 18 months, hasn't got any user serviceable parts, always has a broken screen and doesn't work with any other manufacturers equipment?

You won't find many people on here who'll recommend you a premium named boiler, they all seem to stick together in discouraging people to buy them, it seems the popular thing to do around here. They'd rather recommend boilers with no track record, poor past performance, rubbish customer service and field back up because that's their opinion.
