Skin On NonDrip Gloss Paint

I have just reopened a nearly full 5 litre tin of "non drip" paint. there is a thick skin on it. I have managed to remove it. However, the other half insist that we should bin it, and buy new. Fair enough, but it is snowing, I am short of time and want to get it done today and we are supposed to be in lockdown, and, allegedly, police are stopping folk coming out of the likes of B&Q.

Is using the deskinned paint a waste of time - it LOOKS and FEELS okay?

I am pretty sure it will be fine.
Never tried it but storing paint upside down keeps the skin at the bottom? Although I would use a bag for safety?

5 litres is big for gloss?

Old oil gloss with skin. I remember those days. Just remove and stir and use. Be fine. Also strain it can help as I do all the time

Strain it through a pair of tights, store upside down. Diy stores are supposedly classed as essential so the police shouldn't be stopping anybody but that may depend on what they have bought.
Having said that I wouldn’t be going out to buy paint

And don't try and stir it all together. I did that once with what I thought was a very thin skin and ruined a whole tin of paint....
