Will be checked over by spark just getting cable run for him.

I wanted to run 4mm swa into side of hot tub base drill a hole and run in with 20mm black plaster cable gland. If that's OK.

Also the current gland on the gecko unit in tub the gland there is massive. Dick in a bucket fit. For my swa cable what do I do? If I bought a 20mm gland for there too the pre drill hole is way too big.

Get your sparks to supply the cable s(he) thinks fit. 4mm may not be enough.

4mm is enough it's a 32a supply calc by distance and supply already speccd by sparky. That cable gland is big enough for 450v 3phase.

Since discovered it tightens to 12mm so I'm just tight enough.

That is not suitable for use with SWA of any size.
The SWA must be terminated into a suitable SWA gland.
If the hole is too big, fit an adaptor plate or reducer.
Or terminate the SWA into a separate enclosure.

I suspect it's design for a thick flexible cable. Surely it would be better to terminate the SWA into a Rotary Isolator and have a means of isolating close to it's location?
