Hi All,

I am doing a repair job on a roof, and had to take chuck of plasterboard off to complete the job. The problem is the plasterboard in the ceiling is about 15mm whereas I can only get 12mm. This naturally poses a challenge because the new board will be around 5mm (inc skim) below the depth of the ceiling.
Does anyone have any suggestions for filling this ? I was thinking of either using packers or a bonding coat to level it with the ceiling.

Any advise on this issue ?

B+Q do 15mm plasterboard but if its a small area I would bring it flush with bonding.

Thanks. I can't get my hands on any I'm afraid. It's about 1/3 of the roof, parts of it should be easy to bond coat, others parts might be a bit challenging but doable.
