Havinh a moan as much as asking a question . . .

I've completely renovated my house and plumbing wise have done quite well:

2 toilets replaced, bath replaced, thermostatic shower added (with hidden pipework) Kitchen sink replaced, dishwasher and washing machine lubed in etc etc. . .

There's just one job I can't get right. Bathroom sink.

Whatever I do it leaks and because the leak is behind the pedastal, it's really hard to see whats going on. Have replaced the waste and the bottle trap with better quality parts, have used fernox ls-x around the joints to seal. It just keeeps leaking! No leak when plug is in, but as soon as water is let out it runs running down the back from the bottom of the bottle trap. Have inspected trap and can't find a fault. Can't find a fault anywhwere!!

Does anyone have any ideas, any common problems people come across?

Any advice appreciated!

Take waste out of sink and seal with silicone if you haven't already. leave to set/dry before use.

Amazing!!! Thats exactly the same prob I had 2 week ago, no leaks when the plug was in then leaking when draining away. It must have been leaking passed the overflow hole incorperated in the drain , All I done was to take the drain out and wodge sealer on both faces , no probs after that.

Sort your leak out first, see where its coming from, and then put the pedestal back.

You are never going to repair it with pedestal in place
