Hi All,

Next project is getting the bathroom done and to try and break up the square room, we're considering a feature wall similar to below. Plan is to create a stud wall maybe 1000x100mm in the centre of the existing wall to tile differently and hang the vanity on, and we are considering LED strips down either side to give the floating illusion.

My question is, from a tiling perspective, how does it work for the edges? Using the below example, our doorway would be on the right so as you enter the room, your eye would catch the gap between the front of the feature wall and the original wall, and I can only imagine the cursing I'll get from the tiler if it's an awkward job to tile.

Thanks

Yep these things look great in glossy photos but the devils in the detail, there are plenty of tiling beads that contain the LED strip lights available nowadays though I'd also be wary as one day the LED strip might need replacing. See what types of LED tiling beads are available and how they can be worked into a sensible and practical detail.

Thank you both,
I'm considering just doing a false wall and tiling the edges of it to keep it simple, be enough light off the LED mirror and ditching the extravagance edge lighting.
