Trianco TRG 60 (just lost the vent cleaner inside)

We recently purchased a house with a Trianco TRG 60 boiler, burning anthracite. A couple of weeks after we moved in, the old owners visited and gave us an overview of the fire, and looking after it.

Jumping to the point here, they advised us to clean these little vents under the flap cover. They had a tool to do it, a metal handled bar with a small 'T' on the end. I just cleaned the vents and the very end of the T broke off down inside the boiler.

Question is, does anyone know what's at the bottom of those vents? Is this 4 inch long piece of metal going to cause me issues? Will it come out? Will it cause some massive issue?! For reference, it's the vent on the far right. I'm unable to see the piece of metal. Very worried (mainly because I'm not educated in this system enough) about whether it could cause soot to build up/cause an explosion up the chimney/block the de-clinkering 'thing'.

Sorry for the (possibly) silly question, just looking for advice. I am competent with tools/repairing things if it's something easy to fish out somehow.

Finally, and by far less important right now, we need to replace the boiler, so any suggestions are absolutely welcome! The house is from 1675 and need a new heating and hot water system. I'm cautious and don't want this thread to turn into a heat pump argument whatsoever, but we've been told by 3 heat pump installers that our property isn't suitable for a heat pump.

Is the boiler lit?
IF not the flueways are directly above the fire bed. Keep operating the clinker ejector until hopper is empty
The scraper head may have fallen through.

Thank you for the very much appreciated reply @Terrywookfit, yes the boiler is lit. I think you're right. The best option is to empty the coal out and see if it's there. I'm not sure of the inner workings or structure enough to know where the vents end up, if that makes sense. Hopefully they just go straight down into the clinker box, but it's always a very tight fit.

Found the replacement. The official name is "flue scraper" https://trianco.co.uk/flue-scraper-painted-38500-38500

Interestingly the manual mentions cleaning a secondary air duct. Exchanged a text message with the old owner, they had no idea of this duct, so now it's a job of figuring out how to clean that. I have a suspicion our boiler is about to become a bit more efficient.

Didn't know it this morning, but the old TRG 60 is getting a cleaning service today.

To gain access to the sec air ducts the Fire grate and clinker ejector ram must be removed.

Well, I have to say thank you yet again. I managed to retrieve the piece of metal (attached a photo). Haven't yet taken it all apart due to it being little bit chilly down here this evening, but will do doing it all this weekend. I also removed a fairly substantial amount of baked on clinker from inside the boiler at various locations. It's already running a lot better than it was (and the fan is about 50% of how we had it set previously).

So, @Terrywookfit , thank you from me (and the family). You've helped incredibly! Will at least try to document the process to clean out the air duct. Amazed that it's lasted 11 years without any of this care and attention.
