no, I wouldn't want to leave it there if only connected to a fusebox, I also have a gravity fed power shower as well and its been connected for 50 years yes, I know wattage miniscule compared to elec shower
it's just if I do the fusebox route I can do it myself , RCD route have to get someone in
The instructions for the electric shower will require that an RCD is installed.
Electric showers require their own circuit.
New circuits require RCDs
New circuits and installing showers are notifiable work.
If this is a rental property I would have expected your landlord to have replaced a fusebox with a modern consumer unit to current standards which includes RCD.
