what one would you buy please

What does she intend to use it for?

A gaming PC is different to an image processing PC, which is different to a web design PC, which is different to a document working PC...

hi gaming and general school work/collage

...then I can't see why she'd need such an absurdly expensive computer - is she a professional gamer?

Maybe start by having a look here: https://uk.pcmag.com/desktops/73/the-best-desktop-computers
Or maybe ask her to research what technical spec she needs
Mate i no your trying to advise to get what she needs
But I haven't a clue what im looking at all I want to no is what one would you buy if you had the choice
And they decent deals
I like a easy life and I cant be asked with my daughter coming down saying dad this games laggy or not working
Thanks

-Find her most demanding game, and look at the spec requirements it says on it
-Multiply each of those specs by one and a half, maybe even two
-Find a few computers with at least that spec
-Read the online reviews for them - choose one you're happy with
-Check the spec with your daughter
-Buy the computer

I can't see why you'd need to spend more than a grand, and you'd most likely find what you need for a lot less than that

The graphics cards alone are over £2000. Unless you have money to burn I'd suggest a 5080 max or a 5070. These will likely run all current games on the best quality settings.

It might help if you find out which games she wants to play. £4k is a lot if she is just doing homework and playing minecraft.

And given the graphics cards, I would expect the fans to be pretty loud.

What age is your daughter? Has an influence on the types of games that she is / likely to be playing.
Ask her to ask her friends what they have and if they're happy with it. I'm talking spec, not make or colour etc.

If she’s got important exams coming up maybe wait until they are over ….

We bought our 2 laptops for school work.

They bought gaming PCs once they were earning
Totally agree with this. Don't get swept up in what she 'thinks' she needs. Especially if she thinks that Daddy's going to pay for it.
Also, there are gaming pcs and there are pcs that you can play games on. Which does she in fact 'need'?
To the OP, have you actually been into Currys / PC World and asked their advice? I've usually found the sales people pretty good, unbiased. Don't go at a weekend though.
