Hi all, my hallway has just been replastered and i'm currently repainting it, in a black and gold art deco styling. This may be gaudy to some and tasteful to others, but its what i want to do
Anyways, i have these wooden corner pieces i want to attach to the two outward-protruding wall corners in my S shaped hallway
normally mounting things is easy, i just drill and screw, but i'm a little worried that screws would ruin the look of this
And i'm also worried that they may not be wide enough, that if i drilled holes they would just go into plaster instead of brick
Glue seems like it would be too weak of an attachment method, not keen on doing that either
but i'm not sure what that leaves, do you guys have any ideas? How can i attach something like this invisibly? The corners are solid pieces of wood with an L shaped profile, about 6cm wide, i'll use as many as i need to fit the vertical height, probably 3-4 per corner. They are generally decorative pieces, and wont be used to bear any loads, but they will surely get bumped a bit in the process of natural use of the room ( will of course be painting them gold)
