Texecom Premier Elite 48 Vs 64-W

Looking for some advice on an install on our new home. I installed a 64-W in our last house but I went full ricochet to make it easier. This time I'm looking to hard wire PIRs and any easy reach contacts while using wireless for the rest.

I'm torn between the 48 and 64-W. Both will need expanders but I don't know which is the best 'base' to prioritise, or even if I'd be able to tell the difference once they're wired into the unit. Cost different is negligible.

This is as it stands, 5 wired PIRs, wireless keypad and a wired bell.

In future I want to start adding wireless door contacts (I'll need 4), plus a wireless PIR for the garage.

Why have a wireless keypad if you doing hardwired for some things can you not go hardwired for keypad

I forgot to mention, I'll also have a smartcom installed again and be controlling and reading data through home assistant. I use this for automations and geo-related events. I have a touch display in the hall I can use to set and unset the alarm in place of a Texecom one.

The keypad is more of a backup in my server is down and I have to manually disarm. I had a hardwired flush mount last time but once Home Assistant was running it was hardly used.

Maybe I could consider the 64-W LIVE, but the alarm is being moved centrally in the house in a disused airing cupboard upstairs.

where you getting this kit from?
Your not specific about a few things on your list.

48 Metal takes up a lot of space and had 8 hard wired zones on board.
the 64-W only has 4 wired zones on board and 32 wireless., but you can add in terms of expanders another 32 zones either hardwired or wireless
then you have what you can add when you use hard wired keypads which for the 48 and the 64-w is the same 2 per hardwired keypad and 4 keypads.

You need at least 5 hardwired zones, hence why I am asking why go for a wireless keypad that needs battery changes.
You could then lose the need for hardwired expander???

The switch mode PSU on new units should be the same 2.5 A HAE-0001

Its a balance of what you need/ want and price.

I appreciate the responses, I hadn't thought about using the wired keypad to gain 2 additional zones. Looking at the 64-W kit (1086) with wired keypad takes the total down to £384.46. I can also sell the wireless PIRs I don't need.

I currently have 5 honeywell is312b PIRs up from the old system. Are these comparable to the Capture grade 2s or would you just use texecom ones regardless?

Sorry, I realise I didn't add the MPNs. I was looking at the standard AKB-0001, as they looked to be a direct replacement for the Honeywells. Though for an extra £15, I could upgrade them all to Quad AKC-0001s and eventually get a Dual-tech for the garage.
