Rachel Reeves budget

:ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:

are you gonna spout some bolox about cutting waste and saving money?

hows Reform getting on with cutting waste in councils?

how did DOGE get on on America
Do you think there are no cost savings that can be made in Government?

I can think of 100s.

not doing brexit ..................that wouldve saved £100b

not spaffing £4.2b on bogus PPE contracts

not flogging 1.5million council houses wouldve saved billions............govt now pays out £24b a year in housing benefit

not giving away North Sea Oil revenue in tax cuts to buy votes wouldve saved billions

not privatising privatising everything and letting it get in the hands of foreign equity

But you like the foreigners? Leave them alone you racist.

£412B of covid debt
somebody gotta pay
Yep £412b wasted paying for 99.76% of the population who would have the sniffles to stay at home. And then it failed to do what it was supposed to do and labour wanted more of it sooner and for longer.

A lazy argument built on the silly talking points of the unintelligent.

You obviously had zero experience of what it was like during the wave peaks, esp during the Kent / Alpha variant in Jan 2021. I have a niece that worked in NHS covid wards then and I can assure you it was not “the sniffles”

You obviously lack the intellectual curiosity to challenge your narrow minded beliefs, so I won’t waste my time trying to educate you

It’s a free country, you have the right to remain ignorant. Enjoy. :ROFLMAO:

I too had someone close to me who worked on covid wards. So you can keep your high and mighty comments to yourself.

I think what many are quite rightly concerned about is if taxes are going up, how much of the additional tax take will we actually see in terms of better services etc. Or, how much of it is lost in the black hole of waste.

sadly underfunding itself leads to incredible waste

one of the most ridiculous things is primary care trusts are short of money so they dont recruit enough permanent staff, so instead they end up having to rely on bank staff from private agencies and pay 3x more

the owners of businesses providing recruitment and consultancy services to NHS and other public sector are creaming it in. I did a job for a guy who was around 40, he ran a consultancy to public sector, he had a £1.5m house, a big house in Portugal, 2x porsche cars

we need to stop this rip off gravy train
