we replaced one radiator for a customer then bled the radiator the boiler did not fire up and needs a repair we did not go near the boiler as we are not gas safe who is liable to fix the boiler

Replaced a radiator and bled it, if that's your analysis of the situation you sound like cowboys with no idea i.e. was it a pressurise system that needed re pressurisation or a gravity fed system, did you just isolate the old and fit the new radiator.

your using the cowboy word without knowing the whole situation which was not sent to you , dont answer to this again

for your extra info the boiler pressure was built up all rads were bleeded all ok and did not fire up gas guy said it needs a new pump

Unusual and very unlucky that after fitting one rad they need a new pump. Unless it wasn’t working beforehand. If it was working beforehand then I’d say you are the ones liable.

thats your opinion but we did not go near the boiler, its like if a mechanic changed a battery and the engine blown as the customer drove away:LOL::unsure:

It’s also my experience. You went nowhere near the boiler directly, but indirectly could have affected the pump

Hardly the same analogy. More like if the mechanic changed the brake pads, drained the brake fluid but then didn’t add any more fluid, the new brakes give rise to a problem.

the presure was built up, rads were bled. all ok then something went wrong with the boiler, if thats the case anyone could get a plumber to replace a rad and get a fault fixed in their boiler for free knowing they could blame it on the plumber, as you know when not gas safe the boiler is not supposed to be touched apart from the pressure build up which anyone can do

who is liable to fix the boiler

Is this a genuine question where you don’t know the answer, or are you looking for sympathetic messages of support? Both are available here, but it helps to know where we stand. You seem to have had a bad week, with this and the damp proofing complaint; sorry about that!
