Builder has broken the threshold on our PVC door frame. Is this fixable or does the whole unit need replaced? It is broken into the corner.

Sorry I thought that part was called the threshold. Builder wants to try to fix it but it I am concerned that it would never be a good job.

Once it's cracked it's going to always crack now even if repaired, all's you can do now is straighten it as best you can, super glue the cracks and fit a threshold cover like this....

Gardinia Upvc Kick Bar Protector Bottom Rail Strip 850mm Long Aluminium Gold Silver https://share.google/ymx262n4MCjAuI0h0

Otherwise your going to need a new complete door and frame

It can be repaired but not in situ.
If you have a local fabricator around your area, you'll need to take the frame to them and they'll replace and weld a new piece there at the bottom.
Anything else would be a bodge really.

And not a lot of fabricators will even entertain that idea... different profile or old profile, its just not worth it to them , personally id be going with Cranks suggestions

It's a lot more complicated than that, rebates, existing locking keeps from old frame won't necessarily fit the profile of the new frame, nah never happening, either a complete new door or a repair threshold
