Trying to find a connector that goes from 15mm pipe without the need for two brass pieces to a 1/2" connector.

In other words, replacing the one on the upper right with the one on the left. The snag is the copper as about 3mm of pipe internally which will prevent a flush fit.

I could cut the excess off and it is tempting but it feels like there's another correct connector for the job?

I struggling to understand what you are looking for. What does it connect?

but for next time at least I wonder if there's one without the additional copper.
The one I linked to? But no, there isn't a loose ring version like that. Is it for a toilet cistern, or what?

So back to the question, there's no other piece to do it, it's brass piece then brass to 15mm/olive, 4 nuts (the one I have top right in picture)?
No. But gas advice is not allowed.

Are you trying to join 15mm copper pipe to a washing machine isolater

I know you guys love it, but let's say I'm connecting to a toaster - a water cooled toaster.
But you aren't. DIY gas work is illegal, you aren't competent.

It's against the forum rules, and common sense, to advise on this.
