Would 3x2 stud work be strong enough for 4x2 rafters with a rubber roof?

The shed will be 2.5m x 2.5m and the 3x2s are considerably cheaper when ordered from the DIY sheds.

Please let me know your thoughts.

Yes.

If you make it 2.4x2.6 it'll be better sized for standard lengths of 4x2 crossways, btw

Be cheaper still from a timber yard.

For a shed you could use 3x2 for the roof quite happily

Are there slim fascia’s I can use for the 3inch roof rafters?

Not found this to always be the case, for common CLS and sheet materials the sheds are quite often cheaper and more convenient, quality wise?

I have spent many a happy hour in B&Q playing hunt the straight bit over the years. Our local timber yard is much better quality, much better price (and nicer peeps) and the only real benefit of the shed is the one stop shop.

If I use 4x2s for the roof rafters, what can I use for fascia? Please let me know if there is a solution for this.
