But isn't that the same coastguard that also rescues the people who the independent lifeboats don't want to according to you?the coastguard obviously
The RNLI is entirely a volunteer service, and their sailors put their lives at risk to save the lives of others.
When the call goes out, when the flare goes up, they don’t think about politics – all they think is that someone at sea is in distress, and they need their help.
A couple of comments from them:
“Our volunteers get out of bed in the middle of the night, leave their employment, leave their families, and go out and do this because they believe in doing the right thing. Never doubt their commitment to that.”
“We do not judge those we rescue – where we believe there is a risk to life at sea, we will always launch in response to a call from HM Coastguard,”
And sometimes when these volunteer crews get back to shore they are abused by people for “shipping in immoral queue jumpers".
Since their founding in 1824 they’ve saved 146,000 lives.
The memorial at Poole carries over 600 names of crew who have lost their lives saving others.
And you castigate these heroes, who probably more than anybody encapsulate honour, and courage, and the seafaring tradition of this country, because you don't like the people they are saving.
As usual you get it wrong...Sure. Right after you tell us all about your fascination with Iceland - the country where wife beating is practically a national sport.

I cancelled my monthly standing order to the RNLI because of the 'taxi service' they were providing to illegal migrants,
There are people on this forum about whom the moderators will not allow me to re-arrange the following into a well-known phrase or saying.
their you sea fit aren't lick boots to
Bet he didn't donate a tenner....I seem to recall Himmy was one of the largest donators.![]()
Does this 'taxi service' you claim exists operate in Cornwall?I posted that I cancelled my monthly standing order to the RNLI because of the 'taxi service' they were providing to illegal migrants

Fine, how much do you contribute monthly?, proof of your donation would be useful, otherwise, stfu.
Did I say this? Maybe im on drugs OMGNo - I just don't think it is right to want people to drown because you don't like the route they are taking to get to the UK.
Did I say I want people to drown? If not you should apologiseDid I say that my well-known phrase or saying was about you?

50 minutes ago you started with me I was minding my own business....sorry mate but what is your problem with me, be honest I wont cry?Could you make your mind up what you want to reply to?
ExactlyNobody wants people to drown, but the more people who set to sea in small boats not capable of making the journey in anything other than mild conditions will drown.
The more we provide mid way pick up services by the RNLI and coastguard, the more we encourage people to risk drowning.
