In the old days...
Very different today.
Not me but my Dad and his best mate from school both had the opportunity to go to Australia for ten quid (when they were a bit older), my Dad didn’t go his best mate did, he came back to visit a few times....my Dad and me often wondered what would have happened if he went....would I even be here

When I was quite young, some relatives emigrated to Aus, some to Canada. I know my parents also considered doing that too.
