When you think about it, it's more than a bit rich given it's women that grow the babies, even though it takes two to tango and all that.

Jewish religion does not allow stunning of animals prior to slaughter. All Kosher animals are killed without stunning.

Domestic abuse has always been forbidden in Islam.
Whereas in UK it was legally allowed to beat your wife or servants until about 1900.
It wasn't until about 1980 that corporal punishment for children with a stick was banned in UK.
