I think we have had it

It isn't even a proper fast. Don't eat all day and then stuff yourself before bed... not particularly challenging and also bad for your health. More likely to cause weight gain rather than weight loss. Completely pointless and understandably irritating for it to hold up the game with yet more stoppages.

I stopped following the modern game years ago. It has become a politicised and overly commercialised circus. Prefer to watch old games from the 70s and 80s. Better football by natives of the British Isles, no rolling around on the floor screaming for fouls or endless stoppages by millionaire idiots, and no VAR.

Just stop following it. Shun all the crap that annoys you. The TV, rubbish modern films, spectator sports. They are nothing without your attention and money. They don't even like you, hence the endless mither.

They don't choose to, they're pressured into it.

By racism accusations or other threats. Disagree sufficiently with a muslim then a death threat will be issued.

I'd like you to prove that that's what has happened, please, and has happened every year since 2021.

Football stadiums are for football. Stick with that and you don't need any tedious debate about whether a cross is equivalent to a turban bla bla bla.

OK, so you don't want to have laws forbidding companies from accommodating religious beliefs of their employees, but you do want to complain that ones who do are being forced into it by death threats.

It really is imperative that you prove that that's what's happening, otherwise you know what your complaints and false claims are, don't you.

Perhaps play a bit of footy, then have some sort of multi-religious festival. Swing some incense burners, sing a few hymns, sacrifice a goat. Then play a bit more, then a bit more random religion.

At the same time, perhaps we should incorporate football breaks into religious festivals. Perhaps some keepie-uppies during weddings, have a kickabout during a funeral.

Alternatively, perhaps we could continue just playing footy in the football stadium and keep the religious stuff in the church or mosque.

And alternatively you could stop making ridiculous posts.

How come you know so little about it that you think it's a weight loss strategy?

I'm not a Muslim, nor do I have access to any information not available to you, but I know why they fast during Ramadan. Why don't you?

Keep religion out of sports.

Keep religion out of schools (other than learning the basics).

Keep religion out of workplaces (unless you work in a religious establishment obviously!)

Keep religion for church and home.

How do you suggest we do all those things?

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I don't think that's the reason they do it.

Clearly, but a routine that involves eating a load of greasy slop just before you go to bed, having starved yourself during the day whilst you were active, belongs in the same basket of ideas as... oh I don't know... making women completely cover their faces, or cruelly slitting animals throats, because an old book says so?

There are obviously reasons, but let's not pretend they deserve the respect of the average Englishman going to a football match.

They often eat biryani to break the fast. Yum Yum.

Is that accompanied by meat from an animal that had its jugular slashed without stunning? Served by a female who is not allowed to show her face in public?

Yum Yum...

Last time I was given it by a high up woman at work who is fully empowered and wore no covering on any kind. It had lamb, prawns and chicken. Yummy Yummy.

The moment I hear someone say "empowered" (about anything ) I just stop listening.

I will try to find a more acceptable word for next time.

The aim was simply to show that she didn't fit the stereotype in the post to which I was replying.

Lovely biryani. Yum Yum.
