It's all happening in plain sight.

Trump got massive criticism for wearing a baseball cap whilst receiving the dead soldiers from Iran. So, the state broadcaster (Fox) refused to show the real footage when presenting their coverage of the ceremony and instead broadcast footage of Trump at a ceremony last year when he was dressed more appropriately.

I think you'll find a lot of our capability has been promised for the North Atlantic at some point...

Maybe to stand up politically to the orange rapist ;)

But you are right in the fact that the UK has very little real firepower...

Successive governments have pared back the armed forces to such an extent that we lack a credible fighting force...

The only reason the UK is erroneously considered a country to be reckoned with is because of two lame duck carriers and nukes...

The former can't sail without a helping hand from other nations in order that they aren't just multi billion pound floating targets, and are also reliant on US jets...

The latter barely keeps one sub at sea at any one time, and is also reliant on the US.

We are now in a very dangerous world, and need to work with our closest and most reliable allies - Europe!

Hezbollah, Hamas the Houthis and Iraqi Shiite militias are and always have been proxies for Iran to extend their power base and influence, and to wreak havoc against the West.

What's happened in recent weeks had to happen sooner or later, the fact that Israel and the US are the only countries with the balls to take them on doesn't necessarily mean they started it.

If the Iranian 'problem' can be solved the whole world will benefit.

I have witnessed the degrade and the lack of spending when I was in the army, at first our kit was issued and replaced with ease, later years we took out personal insurance to cover the cost of replacement in case we damaged or lost any of it, our comms was upgraded which took years and was outdated by the time it was released, our regiments were scrapped and disbanded, voluntary redundancies as well as forced redundancies were made, recruitment never hit its targets, all to reduce costs and numptys in offices favouring drones and electronic warfare and cyber infrastructure was favourable to actual foot soldiers. The numbers dwindled and now when we need more men and equipment, it isn't there any more. It will take 5 years to replenish and the governments knew this 3 years ago and still done very little towards it. We are not or nowhere near what we used to be as far as a military force.

I see the reprehensible idiot wants other nations to sort out his mess. He's asking nations to send their warships to a classic 'kill box', so that we can start losing our servicepeople too.

It is a. risk we need to take because without them we are stuffed. They are our allies and both Starmer and Trump will hopefully be out of the equaision when the call for help is needed.

Exactly. The problem is islam, not Trump. All the civilised countries of the world should join in the mighty task of excising the cancer on the world that is islam.

Iran bombing needed to be thought out with a cool head with people who are focused. That excludes Trump and hid leaches
Now we have a situation where Hormuz is closed to all except oil going to China
Trump bombs oil infrastructure cutting China bound oil, then China is in the fight
