Hello.
Am looking for a steer on the screws I'll need for replacing old 19mm square-edge pine floorboards onto the joists.
The boards are going to be sanded so will need to be 2-3mm countersunk. I'd quite like small heads but not at the expense of them pulling through.
I started with some Turbo TX 4mm x 50mm because I thought they'd be better than cross-headed ones but got a bit nervous when the heads on a couple of them got mangled when I tried to remove them.
Looking at Toolstation there's Floor Tite Tri Lock Pozi Screw and Spax Wirox but only in 60mm so probably too big. Screwfix do one called Optimaxx 4 x 50mm
Not sure if I'm over-thinking it but tips on what to look out for would be good. Thanks!
