But the copper’s action or inaction did not cause or contribute to the poor chap’s death.

It's the intention that matters. At the start of the film, the householder was showing some care for Henry - keeping him still and upright. The cop marched in and moved this man away and started manhandling Henry, which cannot have helped his stab wounds.

Two tier policing; the brainwashed cop automatically took the side of the 'racism' complaint.
 
Protests are on in Southampton, at this moment. Riot vans, shields, helicopters etc., it looks like August 2024 in miniature.

100% agree - cuffing his hands behind his back would have made it harder to breathe and increased the rate he was bleeding out - but there was no intent to cause injury and the actions did not contribute to the death. The poor lad, had a vital vein cut deep in his chest, which was pumping blood into the cavity and crushing his lungs.
