What's happened to the small boats?

Its in Frances best interest if we say - this line you will not cross - we will pick you up and take you back to france not one single boat person will set foot on UK soil. Do that and the whole problem will go away, the area around the embarkation towns in france is unbearable for the residents and if we do that then very quickly there is no reason for a migrant to even enter france in the first place.
 
France could try and refuse the Navy but they wouldn't in reality. They owe us a VERY big debt for everything we did for them during WWII.

Returning the people back to France would send a big message to the gangs that they can't come across the channel....this, they would have to go elsewhere. No route to the UK. We don't want them here.

We have to stop the invasion.

How many naval vessels do you envisage committing to this barmy notion?
Bear in mind the French will likely allow the small boats to do as they please once the UK unilaterally decides to ignore maritime and international laws and Ignore French sovereignty.

France would become an unviable setoff point, it helps them also. No point going to France to get here.
