70Nm + 90° apparently - torque to yield bolts. So if reused, they could snap it seems.

Must admit I have hardly ever replaced bolts on vag stuff I just do them up by hand, never had any issues really in 20 years.
Replaced some subframe bolts on my Mk 5 Golf Gti but only because they are a bit of a problem area.

Common sense suggests if going to snap, they'll do so when being loosened. Just don't tighten them as much on reassembly.
