I wonder if that is because if the females are spayed then the males cannot produce puppys?

A relative of mine got spayed for dropping litter...

I have just sent a text to the greyhound centre to see how the racers that came to my house to meet Lena and I on how they are doing as I am concerned that they have not been adopted and I am feeling guilty that I have adopted a hound that I havent even seen. They text me back to say two of the 6 that came to meet us have found forever homes. I am so pleased for them, I was worried. I didn't want a choice because of this very reason, the rescue centre told me not to feel guilty as the one I have been allocated is very special and they know that we will be perfect for her and take care of her. They said this hound was only going to be available to the very best home. I thought that was a very nice text to receive and thoughtful.
