Any body know what's wrong with my cooker please.

The rings and grill work fine but the ovens (has a grill/oven) plus main oven, don't get up to heat and the flame is low. I realise, after a little thought, that it cannot be the gas supply.

I am so teed off it is 20 months old. My Gran had New Worlds since the 50's and they went for years and years.

Sounds like a faulty thermostat, or regulo as New World call them.

A good test is to get a packet of Victoria Sponge mixture, Greens for example. Follow their instructions precisely, and you should have a nicely baked sponge if the thermostat is ok.

Check that the burner is clean, and not clogged up, brush it with a small stiff brush, a dry toothbrush for example.

Not the thermostat. Something called a flame failure device (If memory serves me correctly) is the cause.
New World isn't the same company your gran knew, it's been bought over possibly several times. I think it may actually belong to Indesit now.

This is a something that you cannot do yourself, must be done by a Corgi registered engineer.
But from the information provided, I am inclined to think it is the thermostat, rather than the ffd.
