NEW WORLD gas oven and grill

Hello, and thanks for dropping by.
I have a new world gas oven and grill (built in) I turn knob for oven or grill and the automatic spark ignition starts and lights the gas. The problem is that it will not stop sparking!
Any suggestions gratefully received.

sounds like the actual switch beneath the button cover is clogged with grease or something. sqirt a bit of wd 40 in it. it may free it up

I tried that to no avail.
It would seem to me that it is not being told to stop by a sensor. does that make sense?

I also have had continuos ignition clicking since installing a Diplomat hob obtained from MFI. The fault clears after a period of time either with or without the electric supply turned off. Annoyingly the fault reoccurs seemingly without any interference on my part. However, I now find after experimenting with each gas control in turn that the fault can be isolated to one in particular. Rapidly pulsating the identified control knob caused the fault to disappear.
