Bathroom renovation - how to best prepare for tiling

I don't know much about this but I'd be looking at 30mm or thicker Abacus Elements boards. You need it well insulated to stop condensation. You can tile or plaster over Abacus Elements boards. Something to start looking at. Pipes running behind

    Brick Post Damage

Clean up bricks and mix some yellow sand as and cement 6 to 1. Lay brickes back. Not difficult. You can cover the brick faces with duck tape to keep clean while you do it. Might as well have a go. What's the worst that can happen? Materials are less then £15

Advice needed - unblocking pipe work that traveled through walls/floors. Think the issue is limescale

Block onerflow. Use a hosepipe through window to blast water in the drain plug hole. If you get water pushing back hold your hand around plug hole if you think that would help to force water down and through. Plan B You need to fit an access point in waste pipe to either rod or use a hosepipe...

Close coupled cistern leaking into pan, not the normal reasons!

Take cistern off. Stand in a bucket and fill with water to test for a leak. I'll add... Don't over tighten the fittings. The close couple nuts and bolts just need nipping up or you will crush the rubber washers. Same goes for Syphon. Its should not leak if you tighten with your hand so you...

    Hinkley Point C

EPR2 french power stations are half the size of Hinckley but still. At 12 billion quid each much cheaper. I read that the last coal fired power station has shut last year I think. So that's the end of that. Others are building coal stations

Where to hang the blinds on bay window

I stick wood skirting to ceiling with a polymer grab. You can also use thiner timber or MDF. Just emulsion in. If you have a powerful rare earth magnet you will find the plasterboard screws which will be in wooden joists which you can also use. Screw blind to wood

Bosch condenser dryer not drying after support wheels fixed

FYI. We stopped using our tumble dryer and use a dehumidifier in a room. Consider that for the future. As for your problem I don't know. You can normally tell if bearing has gone but I don't know about support wheels. You might need to get a multi meter and do some continuity testing and...
