    Yes he has told me the cold feed is blocked but reckons because of where it is blocked in the cylinder cupboard the cylinder would have to come out to be able to get to it to clear the blockage.

    Steve, Dont think cold feed is blocked because your quite right. But like i said above what about the vent. Is the heating trying to vent through the cold feed.

    Why are they rubbish? It does away with the blocked cold feed problem. Also a vast amount of expansion takes place in the cold feed pipe anyway so Y not just use one?

    if cold can't get in, hot can't come out. if the cold feed is blocked you won't be having a shower tonight. debris can block feed pipes, (including feathers) sounds like yours has been building up for some years. horse feathers? :lol:

    When CH is on, water drips into expansion tank.

    The MV won't cause the problem, a dirty system and or blocked cold feed will.
