what is also startng isthat the cold is now not getting hot air into the car,
it does hot for a few minutes then is fully cold
any dieas but the 2 issues must be connected

my little fiesta has started giving me starting problems from cold
the car will start but if i go to pull away it wants to stall, after a minute or so its fine to drive and drives as normal
the idle control valve has been changed and still the same
can anyone shed any light on this...
i have purchased some new driveway blocks ( 3 pallets ) and noticed that a large percentage and white on the top and washing them does nothing
these are brand new,
Any ides and how i can sort it before i lay the bricks ?

i have a leak from what looks to be the same place, the leak seems to be coming from a sensor which is located under the manifold coolant pipe
i have grey grout in my bathroom and overtime there are white patches appearing when dry, if the grout is wet it looks perfect
any ideas why this is doing this and why ?
can i remove this ?
the grout used was a ready mixed one
i have a pump as stated in the title, this has started to become a little noisy
should i replace this ?
i dont actually know what it is for and its purpose

i just replaced the coolent and had it running to temperature to make sure the fan was cutting in, when i turned the engine off is when i heard the hissing,
I checked the next day under normal driving and no sound at all
can anyone tell me why i would hear a hissing sound from cap ?
it seems there is a valve of somekind at the top which is where the sound was coming from
the cap is not leaking in anyway
the car is a 1997 fiesta endura e engine
would you say that this is more of a thermostat problem rather than a fauly gyage sender ?
would the thermostat have caused the temp guage to go very high on 2 occasions
the car seems fine now but im going to definately change the thermostat but not sure about the sender
update
i replaced the cap and left the car running for ages on tick over, just before the temp guage hit the red the fan cut in no problem, i continued to leave the car running for over 45 minutes and the fan cut in overytime
the expansion tank was hot but not boiling
i just checked again to make sure the fan was going to cut in and there was no airlock,
i left the car running ( tick over ) and took the expansion cap off,
the fan did not cut in and the expansion tank boiled over
any help appreciated

im now not sure it is the sensor, i drove the car today and the guage was reading midway ( a little hotter than usual ) iot sat at this all the time
i checked the hoses and the top hose is hot but the bottom hose is only luke warm, likewise with teh rad this is not hot at the bottom...
